Rising Star Spotlight: Introducing The Beautiful Kymberlee Street

Growing up, Kymberlee Street has always been fascinated by the modelling world. She initially got her foot in the modelling industry when she was scouted by an agent back in 2017. From there she entered her first beauty pageant and she ended up getting crowned Miss Philippines Australia 2017. This win took her on a journey of self-development and boosted her confidence, opening up many doors and opportunities in the industry. She began doing more runways and photoshoots and continued to work hard and push herself out there, appreciating every moment.

Model & Mode Magazine recently caught up with Royalle Modelling’s Kymberlee to discuss her journey in the modelling industry and here’s what went down:

What do you like most about being a model?

Getting the opportunity to meet and work with like-minded and talented people, creating exciting, creative, and beautiful content is what I love most about the industry. Getting in front of the camera and just doing my thing, having fun with it, expressing myself in different ways, and making visions come to life.

The downside to being a model?

Unpredictability. Not knowing when you may land your next job may be a bit worrying and risky at times. But at the same time, the excitement of having a new week every week is like an adventure and you never know what will come next!

What has been the most memorable experience of being in the modelling industry so far?

Having the opportunity to travel to Malaysia in 2019 to compete in a model reality tv show called Miss Pink Lady Asia! This was such an amazing and exciting experience and something I will remember for the rest of my life. Similar to the next top model, each day we had different photoshoots and challenges that tested my skills and abilities. I learned so much, gained insights, and met some incredible people.

Who have been the most interesting people you’ve met so far?

From photographers to makeup artists, stylists, brand owners, and other models. I have met and crossed paths with so many people along the way. I have met some of my closest friends in the industry and have met people who I had admired and looked up to. With a genuine interest in learning from others, hearing their stories and experiences, and listening to the advice is something I really value.

What has been the most valuable lesson you’ve learned while in the modelling industry. This can be about the industry or about yourself.

To know your self-worth, understanding your strengths and insecurities, keep humble, and staying true to yourself. The modelling industry is not as glamorous as it may seem. People don’t realise what goes on behind the scenes, and the amount of work and effort to get ‘that shot’. There will be people who don’t support and you will not get every job you apply for. But the ability to take on everything with a positive and open mind will allow you to constantly grow and succeed as an individual.

Is your family supportive of you being a model?

I am very fortunate that my family does support me through not only being a model but with all that I do. Their constant love and encouragement push me each day to follow my passion and continue to reach my goals.

If you could go back in a time machine to the time when you were just getting started, what would you do differently?

I don’t think I would want to change anything or do something different because that would change the present and I wouldn’t be who or where I am today. All the wonderful experiences, setbacks, and opportunities have shaped me to be the person I am, proud of all my achievements.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Don’t sweat the small stuff and never give up.

What are your future plans? Inside your career or out of it.

Whilst modelling, I am determined to finish my Bachelor in Accounting and Finance. I have also just launched my own skincare range (Defence Skincare) in September and will be heavily focusing on this new business venture. I am a lover of travel and would love to explore the world and do some work overseas.

5 Clothing Tips No Woman Should Ever Miss

In the past it may have seemed impossible to balance, work, socializing, family as well as remaining stylish and up to speed with the latest clothing fashion trends. There are so many trends that are up and coming, it’s sometimes exhausting to keep up and also hard to know which trends will last and which will just be momentary fads. Here are 5 clothing tips that are easy to invest in.

  1. Accessorize to Create a Whole New Look

Accessories are often underrated when it comes to creating new and different looks. Adding a scarf, a pair of earrings or layered necklaces to a simple dress or t-shirt can change the way the outfit is perceived. Accessories are a great way to dress up or tone down your look. Simple accessory additions to your wardrobe is an effective way to add different textures, colors, and patterns to your style.

  1. Shop with Purpose

Save time and money by shopping with a distinct purpose of what you’re looking for. When buying something new, consider the different occasions the clothing piece will be useful for, make sure it fits you well and looks good from all angles. Invest in basics that you’ll use for multiple different outfit combinations, like a good pair of jeans. You’ll likely find it more beneficial to value the quality of clothes over quantity. Making fewer quality purchases will save you more time and money than investing in too many one-time pieces.

  1. Clear Out & Organize

Time and again it’s important to clear out and organize your wardrobe. Get rid of old clothes that don’t work for you anymore and you’re not using. They’re a waste of space and limit you from being able to see all clothing options. Clearing out is likely to make you aware of items you haven’t seen in a while and would like to wear again. Organizing what you do have will also make it easier and more exciting for deciding on outfit choices. Giving you more options for considering different combinations and new styles you hadn’t thought of before.

  1. Explore New Styles

Don’t limit your style by sticking to the same designs, color schemes, and patterns. Seek inspiration for new clothing combinations, read fashion blogs, follow fashion icons, and go shopping! Try different combinations and allow you to express yourself through the clothes you wear. Don’t be shy to try on an outfit you’ve never considered before, you may love it!

  1. It’s More Than Just Clothes

It’s important to realize that being stylish doesn’t only refer to what clothes you’re wearing. Consider your whole look when dressing up. The make-up you wear and the hairstyle you choose are also important contributors to your overall look, use these to compliment your clothing style. Express your individuality by trying different hairstyles as well as fragrances. The perfume you wear influences how others see you too. Smelling good will also help you feel good. Confidence is key! Be confident in your choice of style and others are more likely to perceive you in the same way.

Meet The Man Behind The October 2020 Issue Of Model & Mode: The Incredible Armand Peri

Bodybuilding expert and serial entrepreneur Armand Peri is no stranger to hard work and overcoming adversity. He was once a seventeen-year-old scrawny kid who used to be bullied a lot but he made a definitive decision to do something about it. He decided to get into weights so that no one would mess around with him anymore and two years later, he was rewarded for all his hard work with a first-place title in the teenage division of “Mr. New Jersey” which then led to winning the heavyweight division in the same competition two years later.

Armand Peri was originally born as the son of Portuguese parents who emigrated to the U.S.; they settled in New Jersey when he was just 12 years of age. He began competitive bodybuilding in the ’90s and all of his hard work eventually paid off as he started winning one bodybuilding competition after another. Besides coming first in the teenage division of “Mr. New Jersey,” he also placed first in other bodybuilding competitions such as the Junior Bodybuilding New Jersey State Championships as well as the NPC Suburban among others.

Fast forward to today and Armand is now a successful entrepreneur, investor, artist, author, and motivational speaker. His fitness goals are quite different now since he’s older and he doesn’t compete in bodybuilding competitions anymore, however, he still works out though just to stay fit and healthy. In his book “Unparalleled Success”, which was published in 2019, he shares his recipe for success. He’s also frequently engaged as a motivational speaker. His genuine desire to help others to achieve true success, while keeping the focus on their professional and personal well-being, is what inspires others to find their own path to victory. Armand also happens to be a mentor to several high-profile personalities such as New York-based fashion model, actor, and former boxing heavyweight champion Rudy Bundini who has modeled for several high profile brands such as Dolce Gabbana, Nike, Armani, Versace, Calvin Klein, Roger Dubuis, Philipp Plein, and Hennessy among others. He also happens to be one of the world’s top male models who was recently featured on Forbes.

Model & Mode magazine recently caught up with Armand to discuss his journey in the world of modeling and bodybuilding and here’s what went down:

How did you develop an interest in fitness and what drove you to pursue that passion onto social media?

I developed an interest in fitness when I was a scrawny teenager wanting to improve my physical appearance; I began weight training at the age of 17 years old.

How do you balance maintaining a fit body while being busy with being an entrepreneur?

By making my workouts a priority in my life, I always make time for it!

We also note that you were a former bodybuilding champion, when you were competing, what was your diet like?

I began competitive bodybuilding in the ’90s and the following is a list of my bodybuilding achievements: First place at the Junior Bodybuilding New Jersey State Championships, first place at the Mr. New Jersey competition, NPC Suburban Overall Winner (first place), third place at the NPC Jr. Nationals, fourth place at the NPC Jr. USA Championships and sixth place at the NPC USA Championships. My diet back then was low fat, moderate carbohydrates, and one gram of protein per pound of body weight.

Being now that you’re older, has much changed in terms of your fitness training and diet? If so, what has changed?

Since my fitness goals are different now, I work out just to stay fit and healthy.

Do you have a moment in your career when you felt it was the pinnacle for you?

I’m still climbing up in my career so every day is a new pinnacle.

Do you have any “secrets” to bodybuilding success that you would like to share with everyone?

The secret to bodybuilding success is to just be consistent and stay the course, never give up!

What’s your view on the sport of bodybuilding right now? What do you feel has changed since the days when you were competing?

I believe the sport of bodybuilding has changed in the direction of becoming more of a freak show! I prefer the aesthetics of a physique like “Frank Zane’s” over the big monsters of present-day bodybuilding.

Are there any people you would like to thank for helping you get to where you are today? Is there anyone in particular who inspired you?

Yes, I would like to thank my wife Fran Peri who always supported and believed in me.

We further note that you’re a mentor to some of the top male models in the world, which models are you mentoring at the moment and how do you juggle being a mentor with being a successful entrepreneur?

I mentor Rudy Bundini (@rudybundini) who is a New York-based fashion model, actor, and former boxing heavyweight champion. He was recognised as the male model of the year by IMTA. Rudy has so far modeled for high profile brands such as Dolce Gabbana, Nike, Armani, Versace, Calvin Klein, Roger Dubuis, Philipp Plein, and Hennessy and has appeared in numerous runways, campaigns, magazine covers, and billboards. He is also currently one of the world’s top male models who was just featured on Forbes.

What are some of the difficulties of being in the industry?

You have to get used to being rejected without losing faith, just remember that someone will eventually say yes because it’s just a number’s game!

If someone is going to make your life into a movie, who would play you?

Maybe Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (laughs)!

5 Fabulous Beauty Tips That’ll Make You Look Like a Star

We all know that looking and feeling beautiful helps you feel more confident about yourself when you are in a crowd right? Well, if you want to look and feel like a star with rockhard confidence then you need to try the following beauty regimens:

Create your own mode of fashion

Let’s face it; beauty and fashion are inseparable. Therefore, to attain a higher level of beauty, you must also stay in fashion so that you get noticed whenever you are out and about in public. In connection to this, you need to make sure that you look fabulous and organized with your chosen look. A carefully curated look that reflects who you are on the inside, matches your values and aligns with your goals – can speak volumes on your outside appearance. You need to use the power of your personal style to dress for success, and boost your confidence. You also need to create your very own signature look because that’s the epitome of personal style. It’s the icing on a classy and sophisticated wardrobe, but at the same time the best foundation for any style journey.

Beauty enhancement

Natural beauty is ideally better. But then again if you want to enhance your beauty even further, you need to use innovative products that can enhance your look. With the use of quality cosmetics, you can now have the chance to look like your favourite celebrity.

When you look beautiful you feel great about yourself. You stay poised and confident most of the time. However, you must also give attention to your hands as well as your feet. To completely achieve your beauty goals, you must look good and feel good from head to toe so you probably need to engage in foot scrubs and pedicures to keep your hands and feet looking neat and healthy.

Eyelash extensions are a big deal these days because they enhance what most women consider their best feature – the eyes. Eyelash extensions make your lashes look thicker, fuller, and longer. The curl at the end of the extensions also helps the eye look more open, giving a more dramatic and attention-grabbing look.

Most celebrities do laser treatments because they have long-lasting effects. Lasers can be used to remove hair from almost any part of your body, take away any unwanted wrinkles as well as other discoloration. They are typically used for beauty enhancement because they can help boost your appearance by giving you a much younger look.

Facial creams are a must if you want to enhance your look so you can look like a celebrity. There are dozens of facial creams out there that can smooth wrinkles and make your skin look firmer. These creams use special ingredients that can stimulate your skin which can give your face a healthy glow and a younger look by hiding blemishes and tightening the pores.

Proper hair care

We’ve all heard of the saying “your hair is your crowning glory.” With proper care and maintenance of your shiny, and glowing hair, you can have a look that will surely be the envy of others. To maintain the health of your hair, you must regularly use high-quality shampoo and conditioner. In saying that, don’t wash your hair more than you have to. Whenever you can, try to skip a day here and there – water can make your hair swell from the inside, and because of that, you can get frizz or breakage in your hair. When you use a conditioner, try to leave it on your hair for at least five to ten minutes, and then rinse your hair with cool water so that residual conditioner will be left on your hair leaving it nice and soft. Also, if you want your hair to look shiny, try using dry oils because they can create the most fabulous shine. Dry oils smooth the hair’s cuticle giving your hair that impeccable shine.

Dress sophisticated and classy

It is a highly known fact that clothes make the man (or woman). The mode of your clothing reflects your personality. If you want to add sophistication and class to your everyday outfits then you need to put together essential elements to make sure your style and confidence shine through. Try going for clothing made of materials that will last well into the next century – this is what you should be looking to add to your wardrobe. Something along the lines of cotton, wool, linen, and silk. These four basic fabrics will certainly go the distance if cared for properly. Once cleaned and pressed, outfits made of these fabrics tend to give off a sophisticated vibe. If you’re also going for that sophisticated and classy look, try outfits with neutral colours such as white, black, gray, beige, or cream. Lastly, make sure your outfit isn’t too big or small for you – fit is the perfect style. Skirts should be just above or below the knee and blouses, and sweaters should always follow the curve of your waist.

Establish a regular exercise habit

Your fitness is an essential ingredient when it comes to maintaining your beauty. With this, you must exercise regularly in order to look good and feel good all the time. This can be your best way to attain the perfect body shape that you have been dreaming of. Anyone who makes a habit of going for a jog, playing sports or going to the gym fully well knows that the rewards of exercise extend far beyond just slimming down or adding muscles in your body. When you exercise you feel great and you look great, your skin looks a tad smoother and more radiant, your stress level goes down, your body has better immunity and you feel more confident about yourself.

Introducing Model & Mode Magazine’s Latest Covergirl: The Stunning Liudmyla Tkachenko

Liudmyla Tkachenko is a stunning Ukrainian model who is currently based in Los Angeles. She grew up in a picturesque town stretching in the western region of Ukraine. Ever since she was a little girl, she has always dreamed of becoming an international model someday. Unfortunately, the economic situation in Ukraine was bad at the time, and since she had no connections in the fashion industry – becoming an international model seemed like an almost impossible feat. But Liudmyla was persistent though, despite her situation, she was determined to turn her childhood dream into reality.

Liudmyla’s first taste of the modeling industry came in the form of a modeling contract that was offered to her to work somewhere in China. Although China has always been considered as one of the most dynamic, and vibrant countries in the world, moving to work in China can often seem daunting because of the language barrier and cultural differences. However, Liudmyla really wanted to make things work with her modeling career hence the reason why she felt that she needed a deeper cultural immersion in the Chinese ways for the sake of her career. She decided to hone her Chinese language skills first so she started taking Chinese language classes. Eventually, she came to the point that she was actually quite fluent in Mandarin.

Since working as a full-time model in China, She has appeared in several high-profile commercials and magazines in Asia. Liudmyla worked as a full-time model for a few years in Asia mainly around Hong Kong, China, and Thailand before deciding to move to the United States to further pursue her modeling career. When she moved to the United States in 2016, she didn’t speak a word of English which was tough because she had to start from the bottom again. She, therefore, decided to study English in a New York-based language school while pursuing her modeling career at the same time.

Liudmyla’s persistence eventually paid off when she started scoring one good gig after another. Since working as a model in New York, she has appeared several times in New York Fashion Week. She has walked for high-profile designers such as Dan Liu, Terraza, and Oxford Fashion, among others, and she has also done photoshoots for high-profile fashion magazines such as the L’Officiel magazine, Marie Claire, MD Trends magazine, Imaginary magazine, and Marjen magazine. Furthermore, she was involved in several catalog shoots as well as a number of exciting projects. Her photos from the New York Fashion Week shows have even been featured in Vogue, Elle, as well as Harper’s Bazaar.

After modeling for two years in New York, Liudmyla decided to try her luck at acting by moving to Los Angeles. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has appeared in a Nike commercial, as well as a few alcohol commercials, and she also scored a role in an upcoming film called “The Nowhere Inn.” The movie is set to premiere in the Sundance film festival 2020. Currently, Liudmyla is studying at an acting school called Beverly Hills Playhouse hoping that this can be her ticket to more projects in Hollywood.

Starting from a humble background, Liudmyla was initially faced with poverty as well as other problems, but she learned how to overcome all that fate threw at her. She moved forward with a single-minded determination to achieve success. Having reached her goal of becoming an international model, she’s definitely a classic example of the results of hard work and determination.
